Experienced Project Engineer – MEP / Building Services Engineer
​
We are looking for an experienced Project Manager preferably with a MEP / Building Services Engineering background with at least 10 years’ experience to play a key role in leading projects and managing engineering services across our across EMEA portfolio. This is a position based in Dublin but may require some travel across EMEA.
The Project Manager will be expected to work with an Associate or Project Director to successfully manage and Data Centre projects. The role will cover the whole project lifecycle from initial inception, through the design, procurement and onto the site delivery and commissioning phase. You should possess the skills and experience to lead and manage a team of internal and external professionals on technically complex projects, and for developing collaborative relationships with our clients and other team members.

We are seeking a Digital Buildings Engineer to join or Digital Services team in our Dublin office. As Ethos Engineering enter this very exciting and emerging design service within the built environment, we are looking for the right candidate who has been involved in a diverse and challenging range of Intelligent (Smart) Building projects, specifically within Commercial Real Estate but also including projects across other sectors. As an integral member of our Digital Services team, you will be responsible for leading and managing projects while also helping to grow the business.

Position requires thorough knowledge of Smart Building design and engineering techniques.
Degree in a relevant ICT/Controls design engineering discipline or equivalent qualification.
Working towards achieving Chartered status (or equivalent professional registration).
3+ years post-qualification experience (working with Smart Building technologies).
In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations (software and hardware).

The successful applicant will be responsible for the Electrical Systems package. Further responsibilities include:
Site Safety in conjunction with the Project Manager and the Mercury Safety Advisor. This will include the setup, management of and closing out of the safety file as part of the Management team.
Drive a focused Quality. Health, Safety and Environmental culture within your team.
Management of Site QA in conjunction with Mercury QA Manager.
Management of Project Schedule in conjunction with Mercury Project manager, consulting Engineer and Client requirements.
Management of all costs associated with your package.
Management of all day to day site operations.
Ensure Mercury Policies and procedures are followed closely.
Management of sub-contractor activities including tracking progress against schedule and manpower levels. Ensure that there is a weekly minuted meeting with sub-contractor.
Attendance at Site Meetings, Internal Project Reviews, Engineering Reviews, Planning and Co-ordination Meetings and Handover Meetings.
Schedule material deliveries.
All other duties associated with this role.

You must be a self-starter and a team player, with the initiative and skills to manage his/her workload to meet necessary deadlines.
