ABOUT THE ROLE
Captured Carbon Ltd has was established in 2007 with the primary aim of optimising revenue for renewable generation in Ireland. It quickly gained a reputation for creating innovative trading deals, structures and products. The company has grown over the decade and now is firmly established in the Irish electricity market.
Captured Carbon has developed strong links within the power sector in Ireland and is an approved counter party with most of the large participants in the Irish energy market. The successful candidate for this role is expected further strengthen these links. The company is now firmly focused on moving up a tier in the power trading sector in Ireland, to this end is pursuing an ambitious strategy to grow the business 4x over the next 5 years.
CCL is confident that is has the ability and regulatory awareness to develop products and services that are needed in the market however a large part of the success of the company will be hinged on the effective origination, business and product development.
To this end CCL wishes to recruit a Lead Originator to support our managed trade business with renewable developers on the island of Ireland. The lead originator will support Captured Carbons trading activities by originating PPA’s, CPPA’s and CfD with merchant and new build renewables.
The Role
Originate, negotiate and conclude PPA’s with renewable developers,
Take over account responsibility and first point of contact of Managed Trade customers,
Development of relationships and expanding the customer and partner network,
Identify emerging trends and trading opportunities within the Irish energy markets, collaborating with the Trading teams to help structure innovative non-standard deals
The Person
. This role will suit someone with 3 -5 years’ experience in the Irish electricity market.
· The person will ideally be familiar with a network of developers of renewable generation in Ireland and abroad.
· The candidate will have the ability to understand and research new deals and products.
· The candidate will need to have an interest to constantly learn and review market developments in Ireland and abroad and also contribute to the development of new services and product within the company.
· Prior experience with the origination and negotiation of wholesale or retail agreements in the Irish energy market is desirable.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and communication skills.
· Adeptness at collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams.
· Self-driven and highly motivated with a strong work ethic.
· Customer-centric approach with excellent interpersonal skills, known for being a strong team player.
