With over 21 years’ experience of working across the telecoms, data centre, managed services and cloud sector across Europe, Gary Watson was appointed as the Country Manager in 2016 for Keppel Data Centre REIT in Ireland. Keppel DC REIT is the first data centre real estate investment trust (DC REIT) to be listed in Asia with facilities spanning across APAC and Europe.Watson’s flourishing career in Data Centres began in the early-nineties and joined TeleCity during the early start-up phase in 1998. Having spent several years rolling out new Data Centre facilities across Europe, he then moved to Ireland to establish and run the Irish business. After the merger between Telecity, Redbus and Globix UK, he was appointed into a Senior Management position in 2006, based in London UK. Watson led and managed seven key data centres and the integration of the three newly merged businesses before moving to Sungard Availability Services as the Country Manager for Ireland. Valerie Walsh is the Vice President of Asset Management for Digital Realty in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Ms. Walsh joined Digital Realty as one of its first employees in Europe, through an acquisition in 2006. As Head of Asset Management, she has responsibility for the financial performance of the portfolio of 35 properties in EMEA, ensuring the company maintains continued growth through successful new signings, on-going control of expenses and retaining required returns on capital invested in the region. Over the course of her 10-plus years’ experience with Digital Realty, Ms. Walsh has been actively involved in financial management of each property from inception to full occupancy, which included the development of 16 new data centres, ten ground up new developments and six redeveloped properties, as well as the integration of large acquired portfolios (Sentrum in 2012 and Cheetah in 2016). She is an integral part of the Digital Realty leadership team in the EMEA region.
Peter currently leads Enel X’s client facing activities within Ireland. Prior to this, he spent 10 years in various management and market development positions within the Danish headquartered building technologies organisation, the VKR-Group. A mechanical engineering graduate with a MSc in energy from the Dublin Institute of Technology, he has been involved in the design and project management of award winning energy efficient buildings and systems across Europe, APAC and the US.

Philip O’Doherty is the Founder and Managing Director at E+I Engineering. Philip studied Electrical Engineering in Queens University Belfast and subsequently worked in DuPont’s Derry factory. In January 1987 Philip set up E+I Engineering in Derry. Since then, the company has specialised in providing power distribution systems for large projects across the globe. E+I Engineering currently has more than 2,000 employees globally working across 4 major manufacturing sites in Ireland, Northern Ireland, USA and UAE. Data centres continue to be an important industry for E+I Engineering and with more than 20 years’ experience within the industry.
Daniel Rosario joined Interxion Ireland in 2013 and is now a Sales Manager with the organisation. Daniel is a leading member of Interxion’s Irish team working across the three data centre hubs and playing a key role in Interxion’s expansion in Ireland in recent years. Daniel joined Interxion from the telecommunications sector where he worked with euNetworks, a bandwidth infrastructure provider operating across Western Europe on the retail side. Previous to this he worked with Bechtle Direct Limited the hardware supplier, and again in telecommunications where he worked with Eircom. The experience and insights he developed in his time in telecommunications and working with clients gives him a natural insight into identifying client needs and developing a solution to meet them. Having began his career with Celltel, the large Sri Lankan cellular company Daniel developed insights from an international perspective early in his career which allow him to work well with Interxion’s range of international clients. Daniel represents Interxion on the Host in Ireland executive council and holds a Higher Diploma in Computing Science and Hard Ware Engineering from the Sri Lanka Institute of Information Technology. Matt has a proven track record of growing and developing Kedington’s networking business across several markets and segments. Gavan Plunkett joined Siemens in January 2016 as a Global Account Manager working with major international key accounts for the design, build and operation of their data centres throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa. Gavan is responsible for development, profitable growth, collaboration and life cycle management within the data centre market for all of Siemens Solutions Portfolio, including Building Automation, Fire, Security, DCIM, Energy Management Solutions, LV/MV/HV and Busway. Prior to joining Siemens, Gavan spent 17 years in the IT and telecommunications industries, having worked with BT and Colt Technology Services. Within these positions, Gavan was focused heavily on data centre solutions.

Founded tech startup Fort Technologies and took from concept, bootstrapping, market identification, beta, launch, angel & seed VC investment to growth. Completed trade sale of the business to larger US software company in 2012. Managed the sales and marketing function for an Irish technology business doubling the company’s turnover within two years. While in this position Noel built and managed a sales team, executed multiple advertising and public relations campaigns and won large public and private contracts for the business. In the technology sector Noel has headed up the sales and marketing effort for a Plc within the Irish market, this included the market launch of the business in Ireland and all business development activities bringing the business from a loss making to profitable situation.
